Going to Galveston

We met Jason's family in Galveston for a weekend vacation at the beach. John Hall was so excited to get to fly on an airplane again! We stayed at a really nice condo and JH was also excited it had a lazy river in addition to the big pool and ocean. Another fun thing we all were happy about was all the wonderful food we ate on vacation. Jason's dad has a tradition of taking his grandchildren to La King's Confectionery on the strip to have ice cream. John Hall absolutely loved this place not only for the yummy malts and part of Kade's ice cream cone, but for the huge displays of candy! John Hall can't wait to go back to LaKing's with Pop!
 

John Hall liked to play in the sand, but wasn't so sure about the big waves this visit to the ocean. It wasn't as calm as it was in the Turks and Caicos. Still, he loved being at the ocean with family who shower him with attention and love!

The beach wears him out! He slept in a beach chair under an umbrella for a little over an hour. After his nap, we went to eat at a burger place where JH thoroughly enjoyed entertaining the table while he ate another of Kade's ice cream cones...John is lucky that cousin Kade is so willing to share!

It was a great to combine a vacation and family visit!!!

We flew home on Monday, the fourth, so we missed the big fireworks display which was held the night before back home. John Hall did get to celebrate with some sparklers which suited him just fine!
