A Blue's Clues Party!

Friday night we went to Luke's 3rd birthday party. Blue's Clues was the theme and Luke got a "handy dandy notebook" to log all his clues. I just had to share the picture with all his Spiderman stuff! I think that Luke keeps that franchise in business! He's such sweet little boy! He even gave me a new nickname "Miss Je-Ca" which everyone in his family now calls me. Happy birthday, Luke! Thanks for inviting us to your party!

Smile Sam!!!

Sam is going through the stage when you ask him to smile for the camera, he looks at Jamie and shows off this crocodile grin! It reminds me of the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip when Calvin was so cooperative with photographers....Ah, Sam, you're so funny!!!

Happy Birthday Stacy!

We went to a nice dinner at 1620 to celebrate Stacy's birthday. Both Shawn and Stacy are very good friends of ours and we're very lucky to have them as our neighbors...(with the exception of the occasional dirty diaper tossed across the fence, but something tells me that is not Stacy's doing...) Happy Birthday Stacy!!!

Danger, Will Robinson, Danger!!!

After Wye Mountain, everyone "motored" to my house, otherwise known as the death trap for young children. Samuel is an accident waiting to happen on a good day, but when you put him in such a dangerous place as this...something bad is bound to happen. We were playing next door at our friend's house (using their backyard) which compared to mine is Disneyland, when we all came back to my house and changed a few diapers. I was determined to get a picture of all three kids, but Sam wouldn't have anything to do with it. He quickly decided to get down, but then decided he missed Jacob and came back to my room calling Jake's name....when it happened. He nearly took out his eye on the edge of my bed. It left a pretty bad mark on his sweet little face. I hope next visit will be a better time for my little buddy...I'm thinking I'll get him a giant toad when we go to Toad Suck Daze!!! I think that is just what he needs to help him feel better!!!

Fields of Gold

Today we went to Wye Mountain for an afternoon of 1,000 photos in high hopes that we could get the perfect picture of three kiddos in one beautiful field. The only willing participant was the youngest member of the family who was willing to pose (and pick the occasional flower). I have enjoyed "editing" some of the shots I was able to get of her. The picture to the right is one of my favorites. I call it "Discovery Channel" because if you look closely, you'll see someone on the prowel ready to attack like a lion. Sam wasn't willing to let anyone get a shot...he and Jacob were much more interested in rompoing around in the endless flowers. We all enjoyed a nice lunch and then decided to head back to my house that had plumbing...everyone decided that would be well worth it...Jacob, however, was very interested in the whole "johnny on the spot." Thank goodness for the will of the majority!

Off to the Races

Last weekend we went to Hot Springs to celebrate my friend, Tonya's birthday. Friday night we met Tonya's parents to drop off their kiddos after a pizza dinner. Cameron slept through dinner and Bella couldn't stay away from the "grab a toy" game which she was very succesful. Saturday was spent at the horse races and we had a ball...I am fairly certain there isn't a better place to people watch! We got to eat junk food all weekend (those of you who know how Jason is about pizza and cheese fries KNOW that was a HUGE treat for me) Happy birthday, Tonya! We were happy to spend your special day celebrating with you!

Happy Birthday Nikki

Last night we went to Shawn and Stacy's for dinner to celebrate Nikki's birthday. Stacy made Mexican chicken with rice...we also had chips and salsa and a birthday brownie (that I contributed). The icing kept melting and I had to keep writing happy birthday...I think the final total was three coats...I waited until the last minute to make it and didn't give the brownie sufficient time to cool. We always have a great time and certainly enjoy being frequent guests to their home! Happy Birthday, Nikki!

Little Rock Marathon

Progressive Dinner...

Last night we stayed the night in Little Rock so that the marathon boys wouldn't have to get up as early to make it to their race. Stacy, Madison, and I also were happy with this arrangement because that meant extra sleeping in time for us as well. We did a little progressive dinner...we started at Juanita's with chips, salsa, cheese dip, and fajita nachos. Then we headed over to Gusanos for pizza....and that's where the "progression" ended. We just didn't have room for dessert. The food was great and the company was even better!
