Meet Me in St. Louis

Make a PhotoShow Full Size

This weekend Jason, Kevin, Tonya, and I went to St. Louis to catch a few games. Friday night we were lucky enough to sit in the AG Edwards box where unlimited food and drinks were provided. I have never sat in air conditioning to watch a game and it was really cool - pun intended! We even had our own private bathrooms! We were going to watch the game on Sunday, but the time got moved and we were out of luck because it interferred with our flight...this was really a shame because those were on the row right behind cardinals dugout!!! We went to the game on Saturday but had to buy tickets off the street; the girls and boys had to sit seperately for half of the night....it was still pretty fun. Our hotel was great and the view was even better. I can't wait to go back to St. Louis - we had a great time!

Big Bunko!

I was the "bunko" winner this month which was sad because I only had 6 or 7 total wins, but I didn't turn down the $15 purse. Here is a picture of the group that was still there when I remembered I had my camera...

Halloween Decorations

This weekend I finished up my fall decorations. I know it may seem a little early, but we'll be gone next weekend and I like the feeling of knowing it's all finished. Brandie and I "ran around" town all day Saturday and then we made pumpkin wreaths and topiaries. She made a wreath for her front door; I made a topiary for my house and one for Stacy to thank them for entertaining me all weekend in Jason's absence. Now, all I need is from crisp fall air!

Fair Parade

I went with Tonya and her kiddos to the fair parade where we ran into a friend and her children by chance. I never knew there were so many pageants queens until I witnessed the parade. I think we had a little prince or princess for everything that could possibly grow or occur in our little county....also, I didn't realize that it is not longer acceptable to throw candy??? - after an hour I was thirsty and ready to when I saw the horses coming which is typically an indication the parade is over when a train decided to break up the whole thing spooking the horses (and me) causing all sorts of accidents on the parade route. We decided to pack up and go after all the deposits kept coming and coming!!!

Lawnmower Man!

We ran across this guy who was entertaining a group of people with his dancing skills. I was able to get a quick video of the dance move called the lawnmower man...too funny not to share!

Superboy!!!

Thank you, Superboy, for having us to your awesome party! We had a great time jumping around and eating ice cream. We look forward to Chucky-Cheese (Is that the right??? Those of us with no children can't be sure of the spelling and are too lazy to google it at this time of night!) Sam might have preferred to have had you all to himself, but Jason wasn't a bad substitute because he entertained Samuel for a while in the various Jump Zones. It was truly a "super' time!.....(I asked Jacob to give me his best birthday smile and the big picture is what he
showed for the camera!!! I think it really demonstrates his little personality and his frustration with the with the paparazzi -family members armed with cameras- that has been his life thus far!!!)

Happy Birthday Jacob!

Happy Birthday Jacob! We can't believe what a big boy you are today! You're so special and we love you very much!

Chinatown!

I saw this fall arrangement in NOLA when visiting and was very tempted to purchase it. I decided against it since I basically had the makings in my autumn decoration box, but I did purchase the oddly shaped pumpkin and the green fabric. Here is the store version and my rip off version; I think I should open up shop in China town!

NOLA Dancing Queens, Kings, and Kiddos!

Photo Sharing - Video Sharing - Share Photos - Free Video Hosting

Here is a video sample of the dancing people from our family dinner at Mulates. Kim's partner, Easton, was more into independent freestyle dancing rather than couple dancing...Ose and Jacob /Andrew and Sam made a few circles...but needless to say it was a WILD dance floor! Also, a group picture of the family before we had to leave as well as a group shot of the kiddos from Adalie's party. We had a great time in NOLA and Kim, Adam, and Adalie couldn't have been more hospitible hosts!
