He rolls & jumps!

I can see why people can't decide who he looks like! Sometimes, I see me and then others I see Jason...either way...we sure think he's pretty precious!!!

I finally caught it on film! He is rolling over from his stomach to his back!

He loves being in his jump-a-roo! I think he really thinks he's such a big boy when I put him in this thing. It really tires him out!

I am posting about the star situation again, but it appears we have broken yet another one! The problem is it doesn't belong to us! We borrowed it from James and Adalie...This is the best (because he loves it so much) and worst (because we can't seem to keep a star operating) toy in the world! I give up!!!

Playstations!

A neighbor stopped by to say hello and commented that JH's nursery reminded her of a Curves Fitness Center with all his little "workout" stations! I usually put him at each place for about 10 minutes each station until he's ready for a nap. When he wakes up and is fed, we're usually at the "gym" again! He seems to really love his toys and playing in his room!

Tummy Time Station!
Rolling Over Station!
We practice rolling over from back to front and vice versa. He actually did it by himself yesterday, but it really scared him and he started to cry! We'll still be working on this trick until he has it mastered.

Playmat Station!
***Notice the replacement star! John Hall says thanks so much, Aunt Kim!

Bumbo Seat Station!

Random Photograph Station!
The final station after some serious exercise!!!

Singin' & Swimmin' on Sunday

John Hall made his first appearance at my home church! Dad made sure everyone knew he was there and gave him a proper welcome! It was so sweet! He even kept him up front to sing with the other children at the beginning of the service...

He Swam for the First Time!
We went to Aunt Jamie's to celebrate birthdays for Andrew, Adam, and Dad. They have a very nice neighborhood pool, so we all decided to go for a swim. John Hall has been to the pool before, but this was the first time he's ever gotten in the water! He's such a cool dude!

Babysitting Birthday Bash!

We went out for the first time to an event which was totally optional with friends on Saturday night. We hired a girl who is 15 to keep him under the condition her mother come along (the mom works for Jason) and I know he was in good hands all night. We have had a babysitter before, but both times were for things we really needed to attend. I know it's silly, but I felt tears filling my eyes as we were leaving the house...but Jason assured me JH would be fine and to not worry about leaving him. I have to say, it was nice to get out for a few hours and enjoy ourselves while celebrating our friend, Kelly's, 40th birthday.

Terrible Toy Tragedy!

The STAR has broken!

John Hall's favorite toy, hand's down, is his playmat but more specifically the star on top. He smiles and talks to it every morning. We have traveled with it and it has been a good pal to the little guy. All day John Hall has been trying to do all sorts of tricks to get it to light up and play music, but to no avail....it just won't play. It actually broke last night and Jason tried to fix it by changing the batteries; he finally took it apart see if he could get it to work. Thankfully, Aunt Kim says they have a similar star we can borrow. Whew!!! That was a close call!

Earlier today, Jason asked what I wanted to do tonight to which I replied to watch the J.K. Rowling special that started at 7. Jason was reading to JH in his glider while I was working on this blog with hopes to be finished before showtime. When I was ready to hit "publish post" at 6:55 he did this little trick!!! It was on Jason's shorts, JH's outfit, and his blanket!!! Yuck!!! (hopefully you aren't too grossed out by this picture!)
Needless to say, we immediately put him in the tub...he sure has some tricks to remind us who is in charge around here!!!

I mean, Seriously???!!!

Why is it that I can put him in all his sweet outfits, stage sweet little backgrounds, and add props and he won't crack a smile....but he's all grins when he's in his little onesies, pajamas, or nothing but his diaper?! Seriously!!!
I ordered a remote as an attachment for my camera since he responds better to my face minus the big black camera blocking his view. I love using it for taking his pictures, but you have to get out of the way or you'll end up with a picture like this. Oh, what we'll go through to get the perfect picture of our little man!
....In his birthday suit happy as a lark!

STAGES OF DROOL!!!

He's been drooling like crazy lately!!!
This was a little outfit given to us at the "baby dear" party. I'm not sure exactly who gave it to us, but it's one of my favorites!
One thing is for sure...our little photo sessions simply tucker out this little guy!

He's so talkative these days...here is a little video of him talking to his little Elmo "peek-a-boo" toy (not pictured).
