We spent the weekend in Memphis. It was a last minute decision to go, but we were happy we decided to head over for a quick visit. We went to eat at J.Alexander's on Friday night which is a nice low-lit restaurant not geared towards kiddos. We were a little nervous taking JH there, but he was great! I was so proud. Saturday morning we went to the zoo. It was the first day of their new exhibit on dinosaurs. John Hall was excited about going, but was a little apprehensive about them when he saw how big they were. We had to convince him they were just robots so he wouldn't be so nervous!
After the zoo, we went to eat at Gus's fried chicken. There was a bit of a wait, but it was worth it!
You can't visit Memphis without checking out the Peabody ducks! John Hall loved playing around the fountain and his close proximity to the ducks. He would talk to them, laugh at them, and try to get them to "chase" him. It was too cute!
