Jason and I hosted our third annual Cinco de Mayo party on Saturday. When we moved to Arkansas from Texas we were surprised that this is something that really isn’t recognized here. Because we basically lived most of our adult lives in Dallas, this was all over the place and we decided to expose our new friends to the holiday. We had a total of 45 guests. We served a fajita buffet (it was catered; I wouldn’t dare attempt to cook for 45 people) that was so tasty. I had the bar set up as the “fixings” area for cheese, sour cream, guacamole, sour cream, chips, cheese dip, salsa, etc. We also had a cookie bar which I let run out and didn’t refill at any point in the evening. We had a great time with everyone and look forward to next year’s celebration!
